  19. QMW AmigaSoc was founded to provide students of Queen
  20. Mary and Westfield College, University Of London with
  21. a variety of things. We aim to help solve any technical
  22. problems, be they hardware or software-related. We also
  23. have our own Amigas, with a good collection of software
  24. (and soon hardware) to keep members happy. We also run
  25. tutorials on popular items such as HTML and so on. We
  26. have also become the only official computing society
  27. approved by the Department of Computer Science.

  29. In May 1997, QMW AmigaSoc was responsible for organising
  30. the Developer's Conference as attended by reknowned
  31. developers from all over the world, including Amiga
  32. International, Gateway 2000, Phase 5, GP Software, Nova
  33. Design Inc., HiQ, HiSoft, Direct Software and many
  34. others.

  36. We were also approached by the producer of The Computer
  37. Channel's TV show "Chips with Everything" to assist them
  38. with finding suitable people to appear. Dan Winfield of
  39. IMM Studios has since made several appearances because
  40. of our involvement.

  42. Membership is only open to students of Queen Mary and
  43. Westfield College, University of London.
